ISPR states that the Pakistan Army is a national organization with “no political agenda.”

Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), stated on Thursday that the Pakistani army adheres to the idea of self-accountability. Lt. General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, DG ISPR, stated during a news conference in Rawalpindi that the military has a strong and extensive internal accountability structure that makes sure rules and regulations are followed.

DG ISPR went on to say that the army’s self-accountability mechanism is triggered once rules and laws are broken. The court-martial of Lieutenant General (retired) Faiz Hameed took place as a part of this procedure.

After the complaint against the retired officer was formally accepted, the Ministry of Defense handed it to the Pakistan Army. The army issued an order for a high-level investigation into the claims in April 2024.
